Bus frustrations (from The Bee)

Description

I've been a regular user of Fresno's public transportation for a couple of years now, and though I'm thankful for the system's existence as it has allowed me to get where I need to go, it's irritating. The reliability when using Fresno's FAX bus to get to your destination on time can be non-existent on occasion.

I recall days when more than an hour passed with no bus in sight. According to the weekday schedule, during the time elapsed, there should have been if not two, at least one bus arriving at the stop. This is frustrating.

I make time to arrive at the stop to make sure that I'm there before the bus arrives. In return, I have to wait an hour and arrive late to my destination.

I understand that sometimes the bus may be running late, but shouldn't there be measures on what to do in such cases? If it's mechanical, they could send another bus as a replacement to help keep the bus system on schedule.
