Why America Is So Unhealthy

America is unhealthy because people don’t care about being healthy. At times, eating right and getting enough exercise is time consuming—taking up time that Americans don’t have. Our economy is going into a recession, and inflation is taking a toll on our food prices. It may be expensive to eat healthy, but it is becoming expensive to eat, period.

To Americans, it is much cheaper to get a quick, cheap, and unhealthy meal from a fast food place than go to the grocery store and make a healthy meal at home. Americans work, and work, and work, struggling to pay for everything else in their lives—they work so much that they don’t worry about having a healthy diet. It’s a sad sight to see, but at the rate we’re going this will continue.

It’s a good idea to begin educating people about the risks of being obese; especially teaching young children. America may be fat now, but we don’t have to be in the future if we do something about it now.
