As spring approaches,
I recollect seasons past
The remains of winter
are rapidly fading away
The earth is being reborn
With signs of life at every
turn
The precocious leaves
often inspire
Precocious lives
Eager to begin their lives
while late bloomers
watch and learn
from the season’s mistakes
As with the other seasons
spring will come, only to pass
